A virtual "New Books" shelf

If you're a student or a faculty member, you may have already used the library's LibGuides -- online guides to library resources for particular subjects and classes. We have guides for everything from citation style (always a popular question at the end of the semester!) to neuroscience. But did you know you can also use our guides to keep track of new books in the collection?

The "New Books and Media" guide automatically displays the latest books and media materials added to the catalog. Use the pull-down menu on the "Books" tab to display a list of subjects so you can see what's new in your areas of interest.

If you use an RSS feed reader (such as Google Reader or Bloglines) to keep up with frequently-updated websites, you can also grab RSS feeds for new books from our guide -- just go to the page for the subject you're interested in, click the "View RSS feed" link at the bottom, and copy the URL of the page that pops up into your feed reader.

If you have any questions about new books (or anything else library-related), remember: you can always ask a librarian!
